These are the traditional type of braces that consist of a metal or ceramic bracket which is bonded to the outside surfaces of the teeth, and the brackets are then joined together by a wire. It is the wire which actually moves the teeth, while the bracket transmits the gentle forces to the teeth and their roots.
At Scope Orthodontics, we usually use ceramic brackets on the upper teeth of all of our adult patients as they offer a much more cosmetically appealing option. We currently use Damon Clear ™ brackets which we believe are one of the more aesthetic brackets available today.
Labial braces, in most circumstances, will be one of the most predictable and cost effective orthodontic options available and will commonly have one of the shortest treatment times.
